More Summer

We are loving the summertime and we celebrated Grace's half-birthday last week, as you can see in the pictures. She devoured her brownie delight and still has a ton of energy to keep up with her brother. Auntie Brynn has been over to play a few times lately too. Her dog, Famous, has been a big hit at our house!

Happy Father's Day

This was Matthew's Father's Day present to Clint. His teacher at school asked him about his daddy and this is what Matthew came up with. Not sure it's exactly accurate, but not bad and great to get Matt's perspective.

The Gig Maritime Parade

Last Saturday, we spent the day at the downtown parade. What fun it was! The kids couldn't get enough of the floats, marching bands with music and bubbles, and everything being thrown to them like candy, balls, candy, rubber duckys, and did I mention candy? These pictures show us with our friends, Meg, Mesh and their kids Nate and Riley. Super fun day!!!

Discovery Bay

We just got back from an overnight trip at Discovery Bay, between Port Townsend and Sequim. The kids loved playing at the beach, getting pizza from the train restaurant, and Matthew even got to use his own money from his new wallet to buy candy at the candy shop in Port Townsend. He was pretty proud of that!

Close call

We had a bit of a scare a couple weeks ago when the kids were playing with the paint and having a good old time in the sunshine. After awhile, Matthew decided to get the hose to clean up and then filled up the large bucket with water. Grace immediately jumped in and splashed in the "pool" for 20-30 min. As you can see, she is having the time of her life, but apparently became numb very quickly and I ended up having to take her to the doctor to get her circulation going again with a hot pack. Yikes! It was scary, but here are the picture to prove that there was really no way of knowing that she was too cold or in any kind of pain.

Thomas and his coaches...bust my buffers!

Ok, I think Mom and Dad had way too much fun creating Thomas' coaches for Matt's cake. The big Thomas was from the bakery, but we made the tracks and other freight cars gingerbread-house style! So fun!

Party Party Party!

Matthew's 3rd Birthday Party was like Thomas-mania. Decorating engines, pinata, cake and then outside to jump in the bounce house. He loved it and I think Grace did too, although she spent the majority of the time at the candy table....just like Mom!
